Since our foundation, we have been working with the globally established Japanese tool manufacturer Sumitomo Electric Hartmetall. The beginning of our partnership was marked by a Sumitomo innovation: the first indexable insert with sintered chipbreaker geometry. Shortly thereafter, Sumitomo began developing the cubic boron nitride cutting material CBN. This resulted in hard and dry machining, which made it possible for the first time to economically machine hardened workpieces. With the continuous development of new CBN grades, Sumitomo laid the foundation for today's market leadership in hard machining. These and countless tool innovations have contributed to the success that makes our partnership so valuable and enables us to create tools with unbeatable economic effectiveness. Today, Sumitomo is considered one of the world's leading full-range suppliers.
